My Chapter 13 bankruptcy was dismissed? what happens now?

My case was dismissed because I could manage to make the payments. I paid 20K during a year period. What happens to that money? What happens to the debt that was part of the plan now that it has been dismissed? What happens to my credit?

In addition to the prior post, your bankruptcy attorney is your attorney throughout your plan. If the case has been dismissed…did you lose income and couldn’t make the payments??? You could have the case modified and the payment amount reduced instead of having the case dismissed. Contact your attorney immediately and find out what you can do with your case. Not paying the plan in the allotted time frame and the case dismissing…brings back the old debt, PLUS interest . You need to seek legal advice ASAP! As far as your case and the debt..your debt was trashed to begin with, and will stay that way until you pay off the debts…Your credit….pretty much shot until you pay off the debts…Your dismissed case will result in no loans no where no how no in any time frame soon. Contact your attorney, that’s what you paid them for! You need legal advise, not yahoo answers….Good Luck!
